Dr. Olivia Sterchele was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago. From a young age, she always loved being around animals, and as soon as she was old enough to get a job, she started at animal clinic. She worked her way through various positions such as kennel attendant, veterinary assistant and veterinary technician. Her passion to advocate for those that cannot speak up for themselves and her love of being a part of a veterinary team continued to grow throughout those years, and Dr. Sterchele eventually pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian.
She attended Michigan State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in animal science. She then went on to vet school and received her DVM at Tufts University in Massachusetts. After graduating, she returned to sweet home Chicago to join the Golf Rose team where she can pursue all of her special interests, including surgery, emergency and preventative medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Sterchele enjoys spending time with her mini pitbull, Sophie, working out and spending time by the water.
