Mark Kraklio, DVM

Growing up on a farm in rural Iowa, Dr. Mark Kraklio always had a love and interest in animals and the life sciences. When he was 10 years old, Dr. Kraklio’s dog Lucy died of an accidental poisoning. It was the kindness, knowledge and compassion shown to him by a local veterinarian, that prompted him to be a veterinarian. 

Dr. Kraklio graduated with distinction from Iowa State University, College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. He joined the staff at Golf Rose Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian that year. Dr. Kraklio’s professional interests are small animal internal medicine and surgery. 

Personal interests are fitness, Chicago Cubs, reading and travel. Dr. Kraklio and his wife Christine have four children and a Boston terrier, Fiona.
