COVID-19 Updates

July 11, 2022: Masks are not required, but they are strongly recommended at all Golf Rose facilities. If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have recently been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, please do not come inside our facilities. Either have someone else bring your pet or request curbside service. If five days have passed since your positive result, please continue to wear a mask in our facilities until you have a negative test result or until 10 days have passed. Thank you for helping us keep our clients and staff safe and healthy.

April 7, 2021:

As more of the population gets vaccinated and COVID-19 positivity and hospitalization rates continue to fall, we are all looking forward to the eventual “return to normal.” We know many businesses have reopened their doors already, but at Golf Rose we are remaining curbside-only for the time being. We miss seeing your faces and the fun conversations and stories we exchange about your pets, but curbside service is the safest option for you and our team. Golf Rose is continually monitoring CDC recommendations as new information is available and we will reopen our doors as soon as we feel it is best for everyone. Thank you for understanding.

Policies remain the same as posted on December 16, 2020 (below). If you have any questions, please call us at 847-885-3344.

December 16, 2020:

Golf Rose Policy Changes – Scheduling Essential Appointments Only

Due to the current pandemic, our hospital has seen an increase in appointment requests as well as emergencies. We are using all available resources to support our clients, but in order to practice best medicine, we must decrease the volume of patients our staff is seeing.

Effective immediately:

  • ALL appointment times will be increased to 60 minutes to allow more cleaning time between appointments as well as spacing to decrease wait times and allow for emergency flexibility.
  • Only ESSENTIAL appointments will be scheduled. See below for details.
  • Nail trims, anal gland expression and other grooming requests, will be referred to Golf Rose Pet Lodge & Grooming. Call 847-885-2122 to schedule an appointment.

Reminders for patients at Golf Rose Animal Hospital:

  • Vaccines, lab work and dental procedures are still important right now to ensure that your pet stays protected and healthy. If your pet is due for an annual exam, call us today. Unsure on your pet’s annual/vaccine due date? Call 847-885-3344.
  • Please limit tech appointments to essential needs. For example, laser treatment for pain control is likely more essential than a minor nail trim.
  • Please consider postponing elective procedures such as spay/neuter or lump removals (if not a concern). Again, if you’re unsure, give us a call.

Thank you for your continued support during this time.

3/13/2020:

With the growing concern about coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to assure you that at each Golf Rose facility, the safety of you and your pets is our top priority. We know you want to keep your family, which includes your pets, safe and we’re here for all of you.

Our daily operations at Golf Rose Animal Hospital, Golf Rose Pet Lodge and Golf Rose Pet Store have always included regular cleaning and sanitation, and we have increased frequency of cleanings to help protect you and our team members. In addition to cleaning exam rooms, grooming areas and boarding runs between uses, our team disinfects frequently touched areas such as counters, doors, shopping carts and benches.

Currently, all of our facilities are maintaining our regular business hours, but if you feel sick and need to cancel an appointment, please call us at 847-885-3344 (hospital) or 847-885-2122 (lodge and grooming) to reschedule. We have sanitizer and facial tissues for client use in our exam rooms and common areas, and we will continue to refer to the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health agencies to determine safety protocol for our clients and staff.

Please keep in mind that at this time, neither the World Health Organization nor the CDC have determined that your pets are at risk for COVID-19, so there is no additional action needed in order to protect them. For additional information and updates on COVID-19, we recommend referring to the CDC and World Health Organization websites.

If you are in need of medication, supplements or prescription diets, remember that you can use our online pharmacy to get items shipped directly to your home.

During this time, we are continuing to plan future community events, such as our Easter Bunny visit, but as things progress with COVID-19 updates, we will cancel/reschedule as necessary. Again, the safety of our community is our top priority. For updates on Golf Rose events, follow us on Facebook or subscribe to our regular email list.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call us.
