Wellness Visits for Special Situations
The youngest and oldest of our animal friends require the most attentive wellness care. Senior pets and young puppies and kittens have special recommendations for routine exams beyond the annual visit.
Puppy & Kitten Wellness Checks
We recommend scheduling an exam for your new puppy or kitten at 8 weeks of age, or right after adoption – whichever comes first. Young animals are more vulnerable to infectious diseases. Early vet visits to screen for these infections and to build immunity through vaccinations are essential to protect your new additions to the family. We are also here for you as a resource to assist with nutrition, training and general pet care.
Senior Pet Care
Older pets are more likely to develop age-related conditions, including arthritis, heart disease, kidney disease, etc. More frequent monitoring for early detection and intervention allows us to maximize your senior pet’s quality of life. Because of this, we recommend exams every 6 months for senior pets.
