Billy Wright
Dr. Billy Wright took his lifelong love for animals and focused it on veterinary medicine after hearing a veterinarian from Brookfield Zoo speak in high school. This inspiring moment set him on a path of dedication and passion for animal care. To gain hands-on experience, Dr. Wright worked at several veterinary hospitals, including Golf Rose starting in 2020 and during school breaks. These experiences allowed him to develop a deep understanding of various aspects of veterinary medicine and to solidify his commitment to the field.
Dr. Wright graduated from the University of Illinois in 2024 with a special interest in zoological companion animals and exotic pets, as well as soft tissue surgery. His academic journey was marked by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and a keen interest in the unique challenges presented by exotic animal care. His expertise in soft tissue surgery further complements his diverse skill set, enabling him to provide comprehensive care to a wide range of animals.
In his free time, Dr. Wright enjoys spending quality moments with his beloved pets, a leopard gecko named Guac and a cat named Oslo. Beyond his professional life, he finds joy in gardening, cooking, solving puzzles, and reading. These hobbies not only provide relaxation but also reflect his meticulous and caring nature, traits that make him an exceptional veterinarian. Dr. Wright is thrilled to bring his passion and expertise to our clinic, where he looks forward to serving both our patients and their owners with the highest level of care and compassion.
